Fort George bar-dancer spot: cheap, small, light crowd, strict door scrutiny.

21 Bar is a Fort George dive that leans hard into cheap drinks and a hookah draw rather than a full club experience. The room is genuinely small—reviewers report light crowds and a bar-stage setup instead of a traditional platform. Bouncers are thorough on entry (ID, pat-down, item checks), and a two-drink minimum applies. Best for a quick, low-cost night if you live nearby and don't expect privacy or a deep dancer bench.

How this is scored
28/100

Uptown Broadway location near precinct; street parking tight; compact room, bar-stage layout.

Located on upper Broadway in Fort George, near the NYPD 34th precinct, the neighborhood is stable but parking is street-only and tight. The venue itself is compact—reviewers describe it as more bar than club, with dancers working the bar counter rather than a stage. The space can't comfortably hold many patrons; expect light crowds except possibly late nights. Atmosphere is dive-bar casual, not upscale.

Bouncers thorough on entry; bar staff attentive; two-drink minimum; ATM fees steep.

Door staff are strict and methodical: ID checks, pat-downs, and item screening before entry. Bar service is responsive, though the two-drink minimum is enforced. No cover charge is a plus. The ATM on-site carries hefty fees, so bring cash. Overall tone is respectful but businesslike, not warm.

Bachelors' Bash Dude, we hit up 21 Bar for my buddy's bachelorette party and it was a blast. The Latinas dancing on stage were fire, and the hookah and drinks kept flowing. Not the fanciest spot, but it was a perfect dive bar vibe for our crew.

Solid, Not Spectacular I've been to 21 Bar a few times, and it's just what you'd expect from a small, dive-style bar. The drinks are super affordable, but the atmosphere can be pretty rowdy. Not my go-to spot, but it's a decent option for a night out.

Underwhelming Experience I stopped by 21 Bar with some coworkers, and it was a real letdown. The parking situation was a nightmare, and the whole place felt super cramped. The dancers were okay, but not worth the hassle or the prices.
