Downtown Pensacola anchor with attractive talent, steep dance prices, strict no-touch rules.

The Pony's got some redeeming qualities, but overall it feels like a mediocre experience. You'll find some friendly staff and decent dancers, but the food's a disaster and safety's a worry. If you're looking for a cheap drink and a decent dance, you might enjoy it, but don't expect much else.

How this is scored
53/100

Multi-stage downtown room in nice office/hotel area; free parking, modern bar, dim lighting.

The property's a bit of a letdown – the rooms are cramped and the luxury vibes are lacking. However, the parking's surprisingly easy, which is a bonus. If you're looking for a more authentic, no-frills experience, you might appreciate the Pony's laid-back atmosphere.

Beer under $10; mixed drinks $6–$8; $20 dancer drink hustle; no real food.

The food at the Pony is an unmitigated disaster. The quality's abysmal, and the prices are steep. However, the drinks are passable, and you might find some decent bottles. If you're a foodie, avoid this place like the plague, but if you just want a drink and a dance, you might get by.

Bachelor Party Fun The Pony was a solid spot for our bachelor party. The $6 drinks were on point and the private dances were worth every penny of the $25 cover. The parking was surprisingly easy to find, which was a plus. Not the fanciest place, but we got what we came for.

Decent, but Room for Improvement I've been to The Pony a few times and it's always been a decent experience. The modern interior is nice, but the capacity is definitely a problem. I've had to wait in line a few times, which is a bummer. The dancers are okay, but not worth the $25 private dance in my opinion.

Underwhelming Experience Unfortunately, my visit to The Pony was underwhelming. The atmosphere was more laid-back than I expected, which wasn't bad, but the overall value was not worth the $8 cover and $6 drinks. The private dances were also a bit pricey. Maybe I just caught them on a bad night, but I won't be back anytime soon.
