Small, well-kept room with solid dancer looks—but light crowds and flat energy most nights.

Truth Lounge is a solid, modest spot that delivers on the basics: clean, well-maintained, free parking, and a roster of attractive dancers. Reviewers consistently praise the appearance and friendliness of the floor talent, and the $20 cover is standard. The real catch is the crowd—most visits feel thin, especially early or mid-week, which flattens the energy and limits your options. Best bet is a Friday or Saturday around midnight when the room fills up; off-peak nights can feel like you're the only customer.

How this is scored
49/100

Compact venue near Dale Mabry with free parking and decent layout; lacks atmosphere and feels quiet.

The room is small and tidy, with a central stage, bar seating, couches along the walls, and a back VIP area—nothing fancy, but functional. Free street and lot parking is a genuine plus in the Dale Mabry corridor. Reviewers note the space feels quiet and lacks the buzz of busier clubs; the vibe is more subdued lounge than high-energy floor. Location near Raymond James Stadium and the Dale Mabry strip puts you in the middle of Tampa's club zone, which is convenient.

48/100

Friendly door and bar staff, clean space, $20 cover—but inconsistent crowd and sparse dancer rotation hurt the vibe.

Door staff are polite and professional (security pat-down is standard), and bartenders are attentive and friendly. The cover is consistent at $20 (sometimes negotiable to $10, and free before 8 PM weekdays). Cleanliness is a standout—reviewers praise the spotless, well-maintained interior, especially after the 2024 remodel. The trade-off is that with light crowds, the room can feel slow and lack urgency; you won't feel rushed, but you also won't feel the energy of a packed floor.

Cheap drinks ($8–$10) and basic pricing; nothing special, but fair for what you get.

Drinks run $8–$10 and are fairly priced. No food kitchen to speak of. Pricing is reasonable and not a complaint in reviews; this isn't a food destination, so low expectations match low prices. Straightforward bar service, nothing memorable.

Attractive lineup (mostly 7–8 range) with personality, but limited rotation and low interaction energy.

Dancers are consistently rated 7–8 in looks, mostly Black and Latina, with variety in build (slim, athletic, curvy). Reviewers praise their personality and friendliness, and note there are usually 10–15 girls on the floor on busy nights. The weakness is limited rotation on slower nights and a lack of stage presence or interaction energy—many dancers seem content to watch rather than engage. Best nights are Friday and Saturday after midnight, when the full roster shows up and the floor feels less sparse.

Truth Lounge: Mixed Bag I've been to Truth Lounge a few times, and I've had mixed experiences. The atmosphere can be a bit rough, but the dancers are usually great and the drinks are strong. The food's not bad either, especially the wings. Overall, it's a decent spot for a night out, but don't expect too much.
60/100 SW score
A Ghetto Club with Great Vibes I stopped by Truth Lounge with a group of friends, and we had a pretty good time. The club's definitely got a rough edge to it, but the staff was friendly and the dancers were talented. The food was surprisingly good, and the drinks were reasonably priced. It's not the fanciest place, but it's a fun spot to hang out.
30/100 SW score
Disappointing Experience I took a bachelor party to Truth Lounge, and it was a disaster. The DJ was rude and the music was way too loud. The atmosphere was basically non-existent, and the security checks were invasive. The only redeeming quality was the food, but it wasn't enough to save the night.
